Why have a ham and cheese sandwich when you can hyave ham and cheese bread? I’ve carefully carved a large, smoked shank into bite-sized pieces and after the dough has rested, later combine it with cubed, sharp cheddar and a touch of thyme before folding it into the dough. I’m looking forward to having my morning eggs on top of this one!
P.S. Since this loaf has meat in it, it will be shaped and baked LAST.
